To the Owner/Operator: Do not use or operate the machine until the manual has been read and understood. If you require additional information, contact your Dealer or EZ-Spot-UR, Inc.
Operation and Maintenance Manuals are written to give the owner/operator instructions on the safe operation and maintenance of the product. For your safety and the safety of others, you must not operate, service, inspect or otherwise handle this equipment before you have reviewed and understood the Operation and Maintenance Manual(s) pertaining to the EZ-Spot-UR and the prime mover (skid steer loader) manufacturer.
Throughout the manual reference may be made to the left hand (LH) or right hand (RH) side. These terms are used as viewed from the operator's seat facing front. The left-hand and right-hand side will be the same as your left hand and right hand.
In order to get the optimum performance and efficiency that has been designed into the EZ-Spot-UR, read this manual thoroughly before setting-up, operating, or performing maintenance procedures on the machine.
It is the responsibility of the user to read the operator’s manual and comply with the safety instructions, operation instructions, and maintenance guidelines set forth in the manual.
The user is responsible for inspecting the machine daily and for having parts repaired or replaced when continued use of the machine causes damage, excessive wear to other parts, or makes the machine unsafe for continued operation.
The signal words CAUTION, WARNING or DANGER are used to indicate degree of hazards and to warn against unsafe practices that may cause personal injury and are used with appropriate safety instructions. These signal words are not to be ignored; your safety is involved.
The word NOTE is used to convey information that is out of context with the manual text: special information such as specifications, techniques, reference information and other information of a supplementary nature.
The word IMPORTANT, is used in the text when immediate damage will occur to the machine due to improper technique or operation. IMPORTANT will apply to the same information specified by NOTE, only of an immediate and urgent nature.
EZ-Spot-UR, Inc. cannot anticipate every possible circumstance that might involve potential hazards. The safety messages found in the manual and on the machine are therefore not all inclusive. If an operating procedure, tool device, maintenance or work method not specifically recommended is used, you must satisfy yourself that it is safe for you and others. You must also ensure that the machine will not be damaged or made unsafe by the procedures you choose.
SAFETY IS THE OPERATOR'S RESPONSIBILITY
Always read and understand the Operation and Maintenance Manual for this attachment. These attachments are designed to give maximum safety; but no machine design can prevent operator error or carelessness.
Always read, understand, and follow the loader manufacturer’s Operation and Maintenance Manual for all the loader functions and safety information.
Always read and follow the loader manufacturer’s Operation and Maintenance Manual instructions for the correct procedure for raising and lowering the operations cab and/or the loader lift arms. Always install an approved lift arm support device when the lift arms are in the raised position for service or maintenance.
Do not exceed the loader manufacturer’s rated operating capacity (ROC) with the weight of the object plus attachment weight.
An open cab is not recommended by the manufacturer. If an operator chooses to use a machine with an open cab, they do so at their own risk!
Always wear relevant safety apparel. If using a skid steer with an open cab, always wear safety glasses and protective head gear.
Skid steer must be equipped with an operator front protective door. Serious injury or death can result from falling objects hitting an unprotected operator.
Check the rules and regulations at your location. The rules may include an employer’s work safety requirements. Regulations may apply to local driving requirements or use of a SIow Moving Vehicle (SMV) emblem. Regulations may identify a hazard such as a utility line.
Know the location of any underground or overhead lines. Call local utilities for locating underground lines or the TOLL-FREE phone number listed below.
Check that the attachment mount levers are in the locked position and the wedges are fully engaged into the holes of the attachment.
When learning to operate the attachment, do it at a slow rate in an area clear of bystanders.
DO NOT permit personnel to be in the work area when operating the loader and attachment.
Before leaving the loader operator’s seat, always lower the lift arms fully, engage the brake and stop the engine.
DO NOT make any adjustments or repairs on the loader or the attachment while the loader engine is running.
